What a phenomenal show--really audience-friendly
I cannot express adequately how happy I was that there was only one pretty good opening band. I've sat through far too many bands I liked just to see a painful opener.
A truly fantastic set was put on by We Are Scientists. Matt came out into the audience, applauding him for going all the way to the back of the room so those without a good view could see him right up close. It was a good mix of old and new songs from Alligator, which is my favorite. Brilliant performances from every member of the band, including guest players. During the encore, he even climbed up on the balcony for those upstairs. My boyfriend, who was no big fan of the band, had a big smile on his face every time I looked at him during the show.
